The cottage sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms.

Sorry but we do not allow pets and we are a non smoking property.

A stream runs past the cottage and on through our fifteen acres of land toward the Afon (River) Lledr.

In springtime Welsh poppies and wild flowers line the winding lane to the cottage, and bluebells carpet the rocky outcrop on the riverbank. The Afon Lledr flows alongside the lower field and is home to many species of birds including king-fishers, herons, wagtails, dippers and indeed the cottage itself is ideal for bird spotting with buzzards and crows battling it out in the skies, and swifts and swallows nesting in the eves.

Anglers have access from the lower field to the river bank and the deep pool below the weir, where, if you are patient, you might see the salmon leaping out of the water. (Fishing licences are available from Dolwyddelan village).

In wintertime, a five-minute walk to the top of “muddy field” delivers fantastic views across the valley to Moel Siabod and the snow-covered hills of Snowdonia National Park.

 The cottage:

The cottage itself has recently been renovated with eco-friendly lime plaster and has a newly fitted kitchen and a comfortable lounge with log-burning stove.

There are two bedrooms, (the master bedroom has a double bed, and a second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed), a newly tiled bathroom (with wc, wash basin, bath with shower over and heated towel rail) and the cottage benefits from full central heating.

Comfortable lounge with Log Fire

The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge / freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, ironing facilities and a good selection of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. We also provide for your use a selection of cleaning materials, tea towels, complimentary toiletries and ample storage cupboards.

The porch / washroom / drying room has a washer-dryer machine. Bed linen and towels are all included.

After a days walking in the hills what could be better than to return to the warm glow of a real log fire (the starter pack of fuel for the woodburner is included in the price – with further packs available from the local Spar shop in the village). The lounge offers two comfortable leather settees, a tub chair and a 32″ digital flat screen television with Freeview channels.

The cottage has private off road parking and the garden has a wood decking patio with outdoor furniture. Much of the land adjacent to the property is grazed and there are flowing mountain streams, Welsh poppies, bluebells, mosses and ferns in abundance …a nature lovers delight.
